Mark for Deletion[]

To answer your question, you can mark a page for proposed deletion by adding the {{delete}} template to the top of the page in the code view. I've upgraded the template recently to add a "delete reason" after a separator. Example: {{delete|Darth Vader article not relevant to TRON}}. There are three people on the TRON Wiki with sufficient access to delete pages, or higher-ups from the Wikia staff can come in and do the job. -- WarBlade 04:31, February 5, 2011 (UTC)

(Laughs) Darth Vader may bay belong on Wookieepedia, and even the Back to the Future Wiki, but it would be pretty rediculous to see him here! Thanks! Again. --Gibson42 18:31, February 5, 2011 (UTC)

Weapons and Equipment[]

I saw your Black Guard edit. It was a pretty tenuous link when I slipped that one in there. Anyway, it falls into a grey area that I've been puzzling over for a bit, and I've been sitting on the fence with, so I'll grab your opinion if I may.

I've been thinking about overhauling the program and user infoboxes to include a field for "equipment". I've already dropped the weapon infoboxes in favour of {{Infobox Equipment}} to better cover non-weapon items like the TRON chute, but the user and program infoboxes don't have a corresponding field to list all of their gear. There are a few ways I could go though; Drop "Weapons" and just have "Equipment", leave "Weapons" and slip in "Equipment" as an additional field, or simply leave it as is seeing as there isn't all that much non-weapon, portable equipment. Every option has a downside though. Thoughts? -- WarBlade 21:02, February 18, 2011 (UTC)

I would suggest simply having "Equipment" be part the infobox, while including weapons in that part of it. Then again, my main suggestion would be to ask someone higher up than me. I'm still new, and I believe that I may have no idea what I am talking about... --Gibson42 06:12, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

Don't sell yourself short. You've made plenty of quality edits. :) -- WarBlade 09:22, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks. That makes me feel a bit better about myself. --Gibson42 17:55, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

Templated Categories[]

Some templates auto-categorise the articles they are linked on. Case examples are the {{stub}} template and the {{delete}} template. You won't need to manually add the relevant category at the bottom in such cases, because you're only adding the category a second time after already adding it by using those templates. -- WarBlade 11:06, March 12, 2011 (UTC)

Thank you for pointing that out, I was a bit unsure about that. While I was somewhat aware of this from looking at other pages marked for deletion in the past, I added the category then the template. It's a shame that some people create pages with no revealence at all in the first place. --Gibson42 17:42, March 12, 2011 (UTC)

your profile pic[]

if you see this can you tell me on my talk page who your profile pic is of.

Tell me anmd post it on my talk page if anyone finds a picture of anon with green circuitry 12:35, September 3, 2011 (UTC)—Preceding unsigned comment added by Nayr99 (talkcontribs)

Sign your posts next time. As for my profile pic, it's an ICP from the (now) non-cannon video game TRON 2.0 colored green. I found it on They have a huge selectiton of Tron-related profile pics to choose from.

However, they don' have one for Anon with green circuitry. The only similar picture is the Xbox 360 avatar of Anon, colored green, which can be found on this Wiki. However, I don't know how you'd edit it into a sqaure so that it would fit though... You'll have to ask someone else about that. Thanks for asking however. -- Gibson42 17:24, September 4, 2011 (UTC)

I'm sorry, but I don't know where you can find a picture of Anon or Beta with green circuitry. Beleive me, I'd tell you if I knew. As for being a "n00b"... Don't be so hard on yourself. It's how we all start out. It only takes a few helpful suggestions to get into the swing of things. Just take your time to make sure you're using correct grammer and remember to click the signature button after every post. You'll get the -- Gibson42 22:17, September 11, 2011 (UTC)

Rinzler had orange circuity...the one person in Legacy that had red was Jarvis. TheMattMan095 07:45, January 16, 2012 (UTC)

Okay, I apologize for altering the page. Rinzler's circuitry always looked a bit orange to me, but I always went with the crowd who chose to beleive he was red. I regret this choice. --Gibson42 08:51, January 16, 2012 (UTC)

When does Anon speak in the game?[] 14:18, March 26, 2012 (UTC)

After looking over the one scene where I swore that Anon mutters a single word (after Gibson asks him if he's ready to enter Arjia) several times now, I came to the conclusion that... I was wrong, I wasn't listening correctly, he dosn't speak at all. I apologize for trying to correct you when you are only doing what is right. -- Gibson42 00:15, March 27, 2012 (UTC)

Virus picture[]

Is there a particular reason why you keep deleting one of the pictures I posted on the "virus" page? Jeyo 02:01, April 21, 2012 (UTC)

I apologize, I found that the picture represented an area infected by a virus rather than a virus itself, and is therefor not needed. Also I found that the inage redundant, because onlt one mian image is needed to represent an article as a whole. But if removing seems counterproductive to you, then I will stop. On that note, I congratulate you on the impressive selection of images you have uploaded. Keep up the good work. --Gibson42 02:17, April 21, 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, I was getting annoyed that the TRON 2.0 infection picture was deleted, HOWEVER you bring a point to my attention: the fact that the page is about virus programs, not viral infections. So while I was annoyed at you for deleting the picture, I realize now that both pictures shoud have been deleted anyway and replaced with pictures of virus programs. So thanks for bringing that to my attention (and thanks for the compliment)! Jeyo 03:42, April 21, 2012 (UTC)

You're very welcome! Thank you for your understanding. --Gibson42 14:40, April 21, 2012 (UTC)

Gallery pages[]

Hi, it's Jeyo. I think your opinion on gallery pages should be made wiki policy. I've done just that with several articles and only now saw your thoughts on it :) Jeyo 03:34, June 3, 2012 (UTC)

Really?! I didn't know that anyone else would consider my thoughts on gallery pages to this important (I worried that it would be dismissed as nitpicking at first), so I'm thrilled to hear this! Thank you for sharing your opinion on the idea, its great to know to know that we have such open-minded editors like you on the wiki. :) -- Gibson42 07:48, June 3, 2012 (UTC)

9th Gen Page Revision[]

I noticed you changed the Modern Light Cycle page and removed the 9th Generation name.

The "Modern Light Cycle" has been named the "9th Generation Lightcycle" in an early version of the DLC. Here you can clearly see its name as "9th Generation" around the 3:30 mark.

I please ask you to revise the changes made to the page, thank you.

A Question for You[]

Hello! Sorry for bothering you here, but you have not been active on the Terra Nova wiki for a while, and I wasn’t sure if you’d get a notification if I sent you a message there. I noticed that you were the one who added Curran’s first name, and I just wanted to ask you where you found out his name was Tim. I don’t remember it being said on the show. Fanycharmed (talk) 11:07, July 4, 2016 (UTC)

Well this is kind of embarrassing... I'd almost forgotten about my activity on that wiki and I don't really have an answer to your question. Perhaps I got it from some promotional material or the credits? Maybe his full name appears on a monitor in an episode? I honestly can't recall. If you can't find anything that suggests that the character has a first name, then I would suggest changing the article back to "Curran". I'm really sorry I don't have anything helpful to say on the matter. -- Gibson42 (talk) 01:23, July 5, 2016 (UTC)

Thank you for your honest answer. I’ll ask the other users of the wiki if they can help me find where it came from. Fanycharmed (talk) 10:24, July 5, 2016 (UTC)

WarGames reason[]

Gibson, the reason why of two things of 1983 movie WarGames. The quote was referenced in tron legacy when kevin flynn said: "The only way to win is not to play" just like W.O.P.R. when it said: "the only winning move is not to play" at the end of the film and the tron 1982 video game was seen in the arcade game twice. --JarodMighty (talk) 00:20, March 16, 2017 (UTC)

I removed the inclusion of WarGames from the "Tron Parodies and Pop Culture References (Television)" page for two reasons. Firstly, it wasn't finished. I considered adding a mention of the arcade machines that appear to complete it, but I didn't because of reason two. The page is specifically for television shows. Maybe if there were a separate page for TRON references in films (I'm not sure there are enough to justify this) or the page was altered to include references from ALL forms of media there would be a place for this information. However, the WarGames reference shouldn't just be put on the page as it is. -- Gibson42 (talk) 04:33, March 16, 2017 (UTC)
