The ENCOM SHV 20905 Digitizing Laser.
The ENCOM SHV 20905 digitizing laser was built in the mid 1980s, and is an updated version of ENCOM's previous laser built in 1982. Since 1983, it has been sitting in the basement of Kevin Flynn's arcade. Flynn frequently used the laser to enter cyberspace until his disappearence in 1989. In 2010, his son, Sam, was accidently struck by the laser when exploring the basment, finding himself in Tron City.
