The Occupation of Argon City was an occupation by Clu's army on Argon City created in order to continue their control over the Grid. The occupation was led by General Tesler under Clu's orders, but soon more programs became involved after the event lead to the appearance of a renegade that created a revolution in the system.

Prelude[]

Clu's forces seizing the Grid
Sometime after the Purge, Clu 2 sent all of his generals to conquer every city on the Grid. As most cities began to be occupied from Clu's forces, the distant city of Argon remained untouched until General Tesler and his army arrived in the city.[1]
Rulership[]
Multiple Programs watched as Tanks, Guards, Recognizers, and an entire ship entered Argon. Emerging from Tesler's ship was a quartet of Recognizers carrying a large pillar, via light cables, which dropped onto the city's park and made a large explosion. The pillar was revealed to be a large statue of Clu, created in his honor.
Bodhi, one of the bystanders, attempted to protest against one of the Guards, but was derezzed. Horrifying his friend, Beck, who vowed that the guard wouldn't get away with his murder.[1]
Rebellion[]
In retaliation, Beck, now posing as Tron in a self-modified Light suit, decapitated Clu's statue and blew it up with a bomb before preceding to escape. Beck later became known as "the Renegade",[1] and his actions soon started to provoke a revolution from the citizens.[2]
