Your kind cannot face the storm that is coming. If this grid is truly ending, then only the strong will survive. Or those with the smarts to stand with the strong. I get it, Spart here gets it. Why do you struggle to process? |

Conn is a Core guard who was assigned to Exo following her exposure to the glitch catalyst. He is the main antagonist of the video game TRON: Catalyst.
History[]
TRON: Catalyst[]
Conn is first seen interrogating courier program Exo in his office in Arena 4A 4.1 centicycles after the glitch catalyst explosion, where he reveals that he dragged her body out of a city intersection in Vertical Slice following her package exploding. He believes that Exo arrived from the Outlands carrying a dangerous glitch, noting that he heard stories from another program of an oncoming apocalypse of the Arq Grid a couple hundred cycles ago. After Exo refuses to cooperate, Conn sends her to fight in the arena.
Stage Direction[]
After looping for the first time, Exo reappears in Conn's office exactly 4.1 centicycles after the glitch catalyst explosion, hearing him say the exact same lines he spoke earlier. Frustrated by her, Conn sends her away.
Once A Courier[]
Looping once again, Exo is interrogated by Conn, where she reveals to him that she was carrying the glitch catalyst. Conn presumes that she's working with rebel group Reset, and offers her a deal if she gives him and Core more of the glitch catalyst. Before he can finish, however, Exo steals his baton and makes her escape from Arena 4A.
The Emissary[]
Before meeting Spart, Exo confronted a Core officer named Mo at the Automata Embassy, leading a manhunt for Exo. Exo eventually defeats Mo and his squad, and reaches the top floor of the embassy. However, she is stunned to see Spart talking to Conn, who has turned her over to him as a means to protect the Automata. Conn reveals that he explained the situation to Spart, and that Tacitus would be interested in Exo. Spart explains to Exo that the Automata have attempted true independence in the past, and while Sierra still strives for that society, she believes him to be an "old fool," and that only by building bridges can peace be truly achieved, to which Conn agrees.[1]
Playing Catch Up[]
After she derezzes Tan, Exo arrives at Oracle's lair to warn Sierra and Spectre of Conn's arrival in the Outlands. However, she is too late, as Sierra and Spectre left for the dock, despite Sierra being warned by Oracle of the danger of meeting Conn outside.[1]
Trapped In A Loop[]
Upon Exo arriving at the docks, Sierra and Spectre are derezzed by Conn, with Exo witnessing. Failing to be talked out out of his scheme, Conn derezzes Exo as well, beginning another time loop.[1]
Gather Yourself[]
After defeating him in Oracle's lair, Exo relays to Oracle that Conn is seeking Spectre and Sierra in hopes of drawing her out. Query calls Exo and Oracle, telling them that he's gathered everyone to help.
End Of Line[]
Exo confronts Conn in the Outlands.
At Communication Tower Omega in the Outlands, Exo arrives to meet with her allies upon defeating Conn, pondering how Conn was able to protect himself from being instantly derezzed, with Horii suggesting he stole Automata technology. Sierra, however, believed Spart willingly gave Conn this technology, expressing that she knew better than to trust Core.[1]
General information[]
Personality and traits[]
Conn's main motivation is to be recognized as powerful, and advance up the ranks of Core. He spends the entirety of TRON: Catalyst pursuing Exo, believing that capturing her will prove his worth to his superiors. Conn sees Exo as his key to a higher function. A man of the law, Conn cares about justice almost as much as his own self interest. He reveals to Exo that he's been mocked, underestimated and disrespected for most of his life, turning him resentful and bitter, feeling justified in taking out his anger on others.
Skills and abilities[]
Conn possesses the skills and strength of a typical Core guard.
