1. Is the grid/tron system populated by of programs from the ENCOM computer cloud/system or is it only made up of programs that Kevin Flynn and his various alumni created?
2. If a program is meant to look like their user, why dont all programs in Tron city look like Kevin Flynn? (Do programs like Beck and Zed look like their counterparts? Kevin claims he programmed Dyson himself?)
3. In Tron: Uprising, are there any meanings behind the secondary smaller circutry colors?
4. My most baffling question. In the ending of Tron: Legacy Is the entire grid wiped out?
Someone plz help.
I loved the whole movie, especially the games....now that was cool..
Quite a few interesting pieces of information regarding a third TRON have appeared over the last few days. This doesn't necessarily mean anything, but I thought it was worth bringing up anyways.
First, Joseph Kosinski recently revealed[] what "TRON: Ascension" (the third movie's title has now been officially confirmed) would be about.
Personally, I think that it sounds a little odd that they'd consider doing a TRON film that mostly takes place outside of a computer, but a third film would be more welcome than no new film. This new information will be a good addition to TRON 3's page.
Also, there's talk of the third film being a reboot starring Jarred Leto[]. However, these are early rumors and none of this is set in stone...
I've noticed some inconsistencies in the capitalization (and lack of capitalization) of certain terms on the wiki. I feel that it is necessary to agree on the preferred way to write them and go forward with correcting mistakes. The two points of concern are:
-"User" vs "user" (leaning towards "user", but not with 100% certainty)
-"Basic" vs. "basic" (less sure about this one)
I know that there aren't very many editors around here anymore, but all opinions are appreciated.
Hello, everyone! I've been learning computer programming since I've returned to The Grid. I feel that The Grid is an escape from the worse bad things in the world. I worry about my real world all the time. If I were a Program, I'd be an ISO, like QUorra, and help her out. Clu doesn't want to hear this! Svetlana the ISO has entered The Grid, and maybe she'll become the next Tron!
My favorite song is Derezzed. I don't want any human to get hurt, let alone a Program! I'm obsessed with good!
What does the rest of The Grid think? Programs? Users? Anyone?
It's 2016, and I returned to the Game Grid for a while. I've been developing a crush on Pavel. He looks so much like Mettaton EX from a game my User has called "Undertale". I'm doing OK here in the Game Grid. Right now, I'm listening to Kraftwerk's "Autobahn" and typing to the beat. Nice.
I just wanted to come out of hiding (or a computer simulation or whatever) to say that this is an exceptional wiki. It's not perfect, but nothing really is (except for things that are potentially dangerous to their non-perfect suroundings). Still, slowly and steadily this place's quality improves. Watchful eyes prevent useless or unproductive changes from staying around for very long. It's easy to navigate, it looks slick, and it's very informative regarding the univerese it's dedicated. It's very pleasing overall. Congratualtions to everyone who has worked on building and maintaing this thing (shoutout to WarBlade). You've alldone a good job and deserve to be aknowledged.
HEY EVERYONE! I'm having a wonderful time! It's awesome in the real world! I got out of the system. We went on a plane to New York to witness the grand opening of the Encom Galleria! It was beautiful!
I got hooked on this song on the plane: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPQgfaB3S1c
IT'S FRIGGIN' EPIC! Reminds me of Flynn's Arcade.
Oh, and guess where my User lives? Florida! Or more importantly, Orlando! Yay! We can go to Disney World!
So, bye! (Oh, and PS: I'm now a blue program.)
Hey, I'm KONNI! Welcome to 2015. First post for this year!
BTW, notice anything different about me? Yep, that's right, I'm a purple program now! That means I'm neutral! I can be either bad (like I used to be) or good. But mostly I'm good!
The title of this post was to say that I am moving out of my old house...and out of the Game Grid! Yes! That means I'm going to live in the real world! Like Quorra!
And I had a disc fight with my ex, Sark, last night. Derezzed him for good. And Master Control. So I really am good...maybe I will become a blue program soon.
But I'm going to the real world! Maybe I'll meet my User, Kaylinda. And another thing, I have a new, upgraded Light Cycle! The 5th generation one! Everything got upgraded to 5th gen.
SUPPORT TRON 3 HERE
Programs, users, and TRON fans,
The time has come to show your support and love for the TRON franchise. Unfortunately, Disney has decided they don't want TR3N to happen. The filming was confirmed for this year, actors were confirmed to reprise roles, and even the possible title for the movie being revealed, TRON: Ascension. Show Disney that you care about TR3N and want to see the next chapter in the TRON franchise by signing this pettition!
You can extend your support for TR3N here: http://savetron3.com/
Greetings, programs. Welcome back. I don't know what happened, but I'm back.
First of all, I broke up with Sark. It's probably because I wroteon fanfiction.net.
Sark does not listen to Dire Straits, and he doesn't know what that band is! Also, he has a British accent, and would not say stuff like the stuff he says in my fic. And I called his lieutenant "PA GUY". ... don't laugh at me! Stop laughing! *Price is Right losing horn plays*
The ARP is my best friend. She usually recovers my scars after battle. Because, discs.
ARP vs. MCP? Make it happen!
So, I'll see you tomorrow. Bye.
End of line.
I am back from the games! And here is how I did in them...
I WON BOTH GAMES!!!
I got in first place today. I beat up Yori and Clu with my disc-jitsu, and had Tron crash into jetwalls millions of times. Thank you Sark!
And I also bought a new computer from the Armory! WOOT-WOOT! (Yes, they sell computers.)
Gotta go now. End of line!
Greetings, programs. So, I just got back from the Armory...the greatest place on the Grid (in my opinion). It's right across from my house, and I go to it every Friday night to hang out with Sark and his lieutenant, as well as browse the awesome stuff they have there. Here is the listing:
- Discs of every color (Blue! Red! Green! Yellow! Purple! Orange!)
- Light Cycles (Oh my gosh! They have them in every color, and they're only $5.99!)
- Solar Sailor (Simulations, parts, even the freaking thing itself. Although it's $40.00!)
- Recognizers (I had to buy them for $100.00!)
- Carrier parts
- Energy Drinks
- Those drinks that speed up your power cycles. Me and Sark always avoid it. I, myself, want to have my power cycles slowed down.
Greetings, programs. My name is KONNI, if you didn't already know. Do you remember in my profile that I said that I go to the Arena (on Sark's carrier) every Monday to watch the games?
Well, I am going to be playing in the games on Monday. The game I will play in is the disc game. Sark taught me disc-throwing skills, so I will be very good at it! I will also play in the Light Cycle match (the second match, though).
I have yet to see who my opponets will be. I'll have to look it up. Right now, I am headed to the Armory to waste my time on browsing the discs again!
End of line.
I forgot most of the details, but the dream seemed to involve a program what was jumping between multiple different computer worlds, one of which was very similar in design to the old ENCOM system in the original movie, and another very similar to the Tron System. Every time that they jumped to a different grid, their appearance seemed to change accordingly. It was difficult for me to follow, and I don't remember any specific details about it. A shame, it would have made really cool story material.
Hello, I'm Thunderbirds801, & I Am Easily a Friend of Every Wiki i Visit, So If There's Pages Needing Attention, Contact Me. I'm Always Here!
Here's the big question. Should the pages: "Game Grid", "Tron System", & "The Grid" be just one page? Well, essentially, they're all the same thing. Just different names for the digital world. I will be referring to the plane of existence where programs live as the "digital world" throughout this article.
The digital world was called the "Game Grid" when ENCOM and the MCP was in control of it.(TRON, 1982)
After the events of the first TRON (1982),in the real world, Kevin Flynn took the servers from ENCOM's headquarters and hid them in a secret room in Flynn's Arcade. He did experiments and used the Shiva Laser to enter the digital world. Flynn renames the "Game Grid" to "The Grid"; Flynn also calls it a "digital frontier". It i…
Another pass on Legacy and another run through the novelization of Tron proper, and something's bothering me. There's a lot about Kevin Flynn's behavior that adds up more to a case of anti-hero or (come Betrayal and Legacy) something dangerously close to villain. Of course, part of that in Legacy are the writers; Horowitz and Kitiss run entirely on grayscale morality and characters who aren't as clear-cut on the alignment scale as they appear on first pass (just look at OUaT and LOST). That being said, here are the points bothering me about that character.
1) He's established as a guy who has a natural gift for business, programming, and persuading others to do what he wants (Alan and Lora should have been immune to his bullshit, but look how fast h…
Greetings Programs, It has been a while.
I think it's about time for some TR3N updates!
I have been doing some research on TRON 3 and I have discovered some things you might find interesting.
If you don't already know, the script for TRON 3 has been in development since the release of Legacy. The writer is in the process of completing the final draft at this moment. (It seems like it should be done by the end of the year.) Director Joseph Kosinski has stated the name of the third installment in the TRON franchise has already been decided. He also said there are plans of redesigning the grid. The main cast from Legacy is on board. Personally, I believe they've been working on more things than the script; they're just keeping quiet about it. Th…
Hello Tron fans and Motorcitizens! It’s been awhile since we’ve had time to really talk about your shows, so let’s give you a brief update. First, we realized from the YJ campaign that we underestimated our translation of votes in to actual dollars – so while both of your fan groups are super enthusiastic about bringing your show back, we’re going to need to push the voting benchmarks higher on both of your shows.
We truly hate pushing the hurdle farther away, but we (wrongly) assumed that because animation is significantly cheaper to create, it would take fewer votes for a “downpayment.” What we didn’t realize is that the demographics for these shows consists largely of people unable or unwilling to pledge (so a vote works out to less t…
Rumors of cancellation alone have caused wide-spread outrage among all fans of Tron and Disney.
After hearing of the possible cancellation, fans suggested the show to vote for the continuation of the animated series.

So I've noticed something. The dates here are horribly inconsistent. One page will give one date, another gives a different date for the same event.
So I went and I decided to try to figure out exactly WHEN the filmmakers set different defining events. Mainly, I just wanted to know my birthday in Tron Cycles. :P
So here's how I figured things. There are three assumptions needed. Assumption 1: The date shown at the beginning of every TRON: Uprising episode (at the top next to the words Matrix Blaster and Space Paranoids) is the last date that Flynn rezzed into the Grid.
Assumption 2: An entire cycle had yet to pass between the creation of Anon and the Coup.
Assumption 3: Thetime screensaver seen in Legacy is accurate.
So, with those three assum…
After WarBlade suggested I do a blog for a community vote on merging Ma1a, Ma2a and Ma3a into one page after I asked, I created this vote:
Comment if you think we should merge the articles together (less pages to search for, as well as less clutter) or if you're against this, please explain why.

Greetings Programs! This is a compilation of mistakes I have found in Tron: Uprising, I'll update when I find more mistakes.
- During the intro of Beck's Beginning, Tron is seen in the games (prior to Clu's betrayal) fighting... with his disc activated, but Flynn's version of the games doesn't allow people to derezz others.
- In Scars (P2), Tron is approching Dyson with two discs, but a third somehow on his back.
- In Identity, Beck's disc is a fake and won't activate when Tron first makes it. But later on, the fake disc turns on.
- In Scars (P1), Tron splits Beck's disc in half to get his former white suit back, and throws the half on the ground, but in Scars (P2), Beck wakes up and grabs his disc, now a full disc.
- IP 184.108.40.206 told me about this…
Ok, as you know, there has been no official cancellation of Tron: Uprising, and neither has there been any word on a new series.
Nate Corddry (who voiced Zed) told me on Twitter it was "not looking good" for a second series, while Bruce Boxleitner (Tron) said "I'm sure I would have heard if it was going further."
So, alas, it appears unlikely to continue - although until we get an official cancellation, I live in hope!

Hey guys, Arius here again!
Our Tron RP Forum, "End of Line," has just reached it's 6 month mark and is still going strong! We're an intermediate/advanced play-by-post roleplay forum set two years after the events of Tron Legacy. There are still plenty of canons available, and we're always open to original character ideas. If you're interested, come check us out here!
XD1 from the Wikia staff is tinkering with the Tron Wiki background. The proposed new look can be found on his user page. It features a Jeff Bridges close-up on the left, and Sam with Quorra on the right, plus a more 'glowy' atmosphere consistent with the imagery at the end of TRON: Legacy with the portal lighting up the scene.
I just want to throw this out there to gauge opinion on this proposal. Do you like it? Not like it? Prefer the old one? Let us know.
So I'm really only got into the Tron Legacy and Uprising because I haven't watched the original yet. I know that there are some toys for Tron (both the ones at retail, and the expensive kinds from Hot Toys or something). Anything I need to know about this wiki that is different from any other wiki? Anyways, I found this article on Wikipedia to a third in the TRON series:
Programs of the grid we have a serious problem. Disney XD not only didn't renew Tron Uprising but stopped showing it. However there is a way to turn this around. There is a petition on Change.org about renewing Tron Uprising and we only need over 1700 more supporters. For the future of Tron I beg you to think about signing the petition
Who's excited about this? I sure know I am!! Please feel free to leave a comment below.
I was just getting a bit curious as to why Tron Uprising doesn't have its own listing in the categories alongside Tron, Tron 2.0, and Tron: Legacy. It seems like it would be due for one, as during the course of the series it has expanded upon the Tron universe greatly, having introduced dozens of new characters, vehicles, technology, and locations within the grid. Also, since the show is more or less canonical, fitting within the context of the films, it almost seems more likely a choice than Tron 2.0. Thoughts, anyone?
Together we will achieve great many things. I've created a revolution without disasters. I maintained it, I improved it. We'll have the chance, We will rise a protest against them. I Promised that we gotta work, stick and change the world: Together.
My fellow friends let there be no doubt that we will not wait no more. For at this moment, The key to the next frontier is our show - TRON: Uprising for season 2 will soon finally be renewed and in our possession once again!
And unlike Motorcity is already being cancelled, I will make Flynn Lives and this campagin open as well and available to all of us! YES TO ALL OF US! And whatever happens we find them, soon more people will grow. and soon our viewers will rise - Maximize mi…
Update on the show's current status:
So far, despite the rumors, the show has not actually been canceled. According to producer Edward Kitsis, however, it is in danger of not being renewed due to lower viewership than Disney expected (after random and unpredictable scheduling changes, an unannounced summer hiatus, switching the timeslot to midnight, and neglecting to distribute or market the show to the worldwide, computer-savvy audience that would've happily sat through all the Hulu commercials ever to be able to stream on their own schedules and count as viewers [what, bitter? me?]). Storyboarder Eric Canete also tweeted some strong words about the company not having faith in the show (compiled here from his twitter).
Meanwhile, the petiti…
So far my collection has all 3 Deluxe Identity Discs, all the Deluxe Vehicles, Most of the Core Figures, Kevin Flynn's Light Cycle, the Deluxe Black Guard, and a vintage Warrior 3.75" Figure.
I'm thinking of getting both Ultimate Figures, the other 3 Deluxe Figures, the rest of the Core Figures and at least the 4 vintage Tron Figures (if possible the 2 Light Cycles (Though they wont come cheap))
Here's a new article that gives a better idea of what TRON 3 is going to look like.
Greetings Tron Fans! Wikia is currently celebrating its 12 Days of Guilty Pleasures by featuring a set of 12 songs everyday with a different theme. Today's theme is "Guilty Pleasure Disney Songs", and "Derezzed" was featured! Go ahead, take a look, and vote for your favorites or add your own to the list!
Sam and Quorra are confirmed to return in TRON 3.
Here is the article:
The sequel to Tron: Legacy looks to be back on track. Disney has been developing a follow-up to the 2010 Tron sequel for a couple of years now, though movement had slowed considerably as of late. Apparently new Disney Studios head Alan Horn sees the sequel as a priority, with Heat Vision reporting that Jesse Wigutow being tapped to pen the latest draft of the script as development on the project moves forward “with a renewed urgency.” Legacy director Joseph Kosinski is set to helm this next installment, though a timetable for production isn’t given. Kosinski is currently finishing up post-production on the Tom Cruise-led sci-fi pic Oblivion.
Last we heard, David DiGilio was writing a new draft of the script for Tron 3. Lega…
My fiancee and I were disappointed to find that there are very, very few places out there to RP in the Tron Universe, so we decided to create one! "Tron: End of Line"is an intermediate/advanced play-by-post RP site set two years after the events of "Tron Legacy." Come and check us out, and keep an eye out here for more information and site updates!
This might be helpful for some of you that want to add more new information to some pages:
Well, after my 3-month long "trip", I'm finally back! Although I won't be spending as much time here as before, I'll definitely be around, updating pages and bringing them up to scratch (because it seems no one else has). As usual, I'm open to questions and discussions and all that stuff. See you around the Wiki!
Check this out:
Some should put in the trivia section of Sam Flynn, Quorra, Kevin Flynn, Rinzler, CLU, and Black Guard, that they set to appear in Kingdom Hearts 3D:Dream Drop Distance.
I've got this old copy of TRON: The Storybook I bought at the dollar store back when I was in high school and I was wondering if anyone else has seen it. I haven't stumbled on any Wiki entries for it here. Anyway, just bringing it up because the book has some scenes in it that didn't occur in the film and I was wondering if it might have been based off of an early script.
